Y-Tee A.K.A Minyila, born on Tuesday, August 5th 1986 in the Upper East Region of Ghana, West Africa. Who scored his love for music through his cousin and brother, anytime they played music. I was very little by then, but my ears knew what they heard, he says. At the age of Six(6), he was taken to a Christian boarding school. The school was very popular for it's music and it's ability to bring out young musicians. There he studied the little concepts of music. Joined the school band and studied how to play drums. After skipping drum lessons for sometime, he was dismissed from the band. But that didn't let his love for music game down, still druming on boxes and tables while friends beat box with their mouths, they still made pretty good tunes to the ear.
At J.S.S 2 (8the Grade), he started writting and miming famous tunes of artist like Shaggy, Busta Rhymes, Tupac and Snoop. At S.S.S.1(10th Grade), he started writting his own lyrics and started performing, by then, his love for the game grew much more stronger and was unleashed like a beast.Always skipping school for the stage, anywhere he heard there was a performance. He later then heard production works of Dr. Dre, which drew his attention to another side of the game of being a producer, performing at local shows and learning production works from a close friend Paa Jay, who was an engineer in Studio 502,. Y-Tee never gave up to what he believd in.
Going through a lot of up's and downs, Y-Tee still stood strong to his theme "LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT". He always found ways and means of making it no matter what it takes. He came out being the CEO of with his own label "JAB ENTERTAINMENT CONTINENTAL". Never under estimate a nigger you see on the streets, for soo many years practicing music and engineering, the right time now came for him to put his skills into use. Working with underground rap artist like Bone Dog, Holy Sinner, Flexybone, Israel,G-Dogg,Storm and productions for Yatta and the whole of Grind Hard Productions.
He also featured on a Grind Hard/Jab Entertainment mixtape released in 2006.Still looking out for more to do like moving into music video directing and acting, you could tell for yourself, who and what Y-Tee is made up off..
He stood to the gangsta game and played it by his own rules. As of now being a good producer, there's no way, you can ever under estimate him. Y-Tee's life is full of music, there's no other way to define him than simply saying, he is a young soldier rapper.
