SLADE’S BIOGRAPHY… A hot new hip-hop artist full of powerful lyrics that tell just a few of the stories from Slade’s unbelievable real life! Born in Washington, D.C., Slade’s life was turned upside down right from the start. He endured years of physical abuse from his mother and her boyfriends…from being tied down to a bed and beat with a dog stick to being punched in the mouth and hit so hard that he bounced off the wall, his ear was left hanging off his face. He was starved and forced to eat nothing but sauerkraut. Things reached a climax at the age of 6, when Slade was beaten with an extension cord. He was hit so hard that the meat was ripping out of his leg. The police found him in a pool of blood. Slade was taken to a mental hospital because his mother told them that he was crazy and that he did it to himself. At the mental hospital, Slade was hog-tied and pumped full of Thorazine which made him into a walking mummy…and this was only the beginning. The title song, “Revenge” reveals his pain and anger from his tortured youth. For the next ten years, Slade would go from group homes to foster homes and every type of lock up facility you could imagine. At 16 years old, he ended up homeless in PA, where he slept in abandoned cars and on park benches and ate at soup kitchens. He could never forget being chilled to the bone on those cold nights or banging on the back door of the bakery for bread. Although down and out, Slade was never lazy. He got a job cleaning bathrooms at a diner; his pay was a meal and five dollars. He’s always worked as hard as he could to survive. With this album, Slade puts it all on the line. His lyrics are deep and powerful.
