Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

Teflon’s production is bold; heavy on the drums, heavy on the bass. Heavy in your ear. Rolling Stone Magazine has called his beatmaking skills “sublime” and All Music Guide described his tracks as “a stunning soundscape.” But the 26-year old Hip Hop producer and Bronx native is doing much more than creating tracks the critics can love. At 19, he had his first radio hit and since then Teflon’s music has appeared on Grammy-nominated albums, in worldwide advertising campaigns, on movie soundtracks, and on countless DJ playlists and Ipods.

Teflon began his music career early, mastering the keyboard at 13 and being recruited to sign on under the Ruff Ryders label before he hit 18. As a member of one of Hip-Hop’s most popular and respected music families, he worked alongside some of the industry’s most innovative artists and executives, producing tracks for DMX and Eve, and working with both super-producer Swizz Beats and Ruff Ryders’’ co-CEO, Darrin "Dee" Dean. In 2000, Teflon produced the radio hit “Got It All” featuring Eve and Jadakiss, the lead single from Ryde or Die: Vol. 2. The next year, he created “Who’s That Girl?” the first single off of Eve’s Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling sophomore album, Scorpion.

It didn’t take long for the rest of the industry to notice Teflon’s beatmaking gift, stellar production work, and his signature bass and drum-heavy style. He went on to produce numerous bangers for Wyclef Jean, including his 2002 crossover hit “Two Wrongs” featuring Claudette Ortiz. Since then, Teflon has racked up an impressive list of hits for high-profile artists such as LL Cool J, DMX, Cam’ron, Tom Jones, Donell Jones and Fat Joe; his tracks have appeared on film in The Nutty Professor 2, Finding Forrester and 50 First Dates; and on TV’s worldwide in Kobe Bryant’s Sprite commercial, “Portraits.” Teflon is currently living and working in Miami. He is in the studio developing tracks for his artist Genessa, and for future projects including 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Jadakiss, Gucci Man, and more.
