AAight!. U a real femcee and we need more so keep it up You have solid rhymescemes and the melodies are good.Good vocab, there were a few nice combos in there, not sure which I listenedto all 10 then again on the vote entries. I bet you sterted writing before freestyling right? Thats why your timing is on point. Ill give you a couple pointers, not trying to sound like a knowitall, but I want everyone to do well if your real....
1) You need to have more presence and a stronger delivery. You probably havent spit in front of alot of people like on a stage or at a partyso hat will come naturally. If you use voice inflection it willaccentuate the rhyme set and when you getin front of a crowd you wont get all choked and babek up your breath control. Especilly on the combos and packed syllables. Breath throughyour diaphram instead of your chest and have more confidence. Act like your spitting in front of the rappiest rappers in the world and amazig them with real lyricism and youll get more confidence and not worry about fukin up. Your good and you should know it and channel that knowledge into a stronger delivery. Dont worry alot of netcees have thesame problem, I did when I started rhyming. Get in fron of crowds and youl develop that skill better.
2) You havea message and I know your not doing this just for the money, you have a successful caree outside of hip-hop so your doing it for the right reasons, so stay away from the the verses about getting paper. Differentiate yourself from rappers. MC's do it from the heart, not the wallet.
3) Topics..you do well at staying on a topic and still getting the rhymescheme together. Practice writing as many bars as possible while keeping the rhymescheme and rhyming off the same words. I used to plan out 8 bars at a time and junk some bars if can say teh same thing with different words. If your smart and you seem o be you can say the same message 10 different ways and use the way that gets the best flw, punches , wordplay or combos in. Takes more time, but thats what separates peopel like Copywrite, and especially tonedeff. I can speed write and make it sound good, but before you get put on and you still have the time to build your first album you shgould make masterpeices. A good example is a 64 bar verse I wrote bout th history of the Egyptian gods . Its called the divine ennead of the Heliopolis". It was an excersize in storytelling and saying an exact story that known and true enough for people to prove I didnt make shit up to make it rhyme. Its on www.myspace.com/mcnoetic under an UTTERZ recording all acapella. heck myspace and youll see the people that you want to learn from. You got alot of potential and if you pointed in the right direction you can be the best. Good luck with your career and keep being a real woman. Not one of them ho's trying to ride coattails or having ghostwriters. I gave you all 4'son te votes cuz I dont play the political thing when it comes to my artform. Sorry about the longwinded reply, and I know all the rapper part-timers are gonna try and diss me for preaching and not see itas teaching, but I was trhe same way you are when I sarted and it took practice and training to get past my weak spots. Just trying to save you the time to figure it out like I did andgive you the benefit of my experience. Delivery is the most crucial right now for you and it takes time to develop. Good luck I know you'll do well . Seems like you got the drive, ambition ad th resolve and work etic to get it done and staythe course. I have a couple books Ive been outlining to write and when I do I'd love for you to critique em and let me know what I need to doto make them great. Peace. Keep real Hip-Hop alive and dont let an artfor get turned into a big commercial that just makes people lose their higher self.
