Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

I'm one of six kids, so I guess I have 'middle-child-syndrome'. I've been a writer all of my life. I considered the poetry that I often wrote in high school to be its own genre of 'gutta poetry'. I also grew up in a house full of music, because my parents are both musicians. When I started rhyming around the age of 15, I caught the ear of many hiphop heads from D.C. to NY. My first actual song was recorded in Yonkers, because I was often back and forth from D.C. to NY for various reasons. I always would record here and there, but it wasn't until I hooked up with a production team called Royal Finesse, that I began to take things seriously, and be taken seriously in return. I recorded two songs that were and are still today considered anthems in D.C. one wa called 'Bang Bang', and the other was called 'I've Waited.' The latter won me Best Female Rap Artist that year on http://www.musichypeonline.com. Ironically, I would never have submitted the song had I not gotten pregnant with my son. I was too pregnant to recored while I was pregnant, so I used the internet to push the music I already had. After I had my son, I stood at a fork in the road. All of my competitors felt comfortable...they were sure I'd quit because of my son, but it was the exact opposite. The stars lined up for me and I met my manager, Faheem Smith. I signed with him because he handled regional promotion for Rawkus a couple of years ago, and had worked closely with Big L, and Black Moon. He hooked me up with the producers of the 'Whistle Track' (Juelz Santana.) The Sound Bwoys then produced and recorded my second mixtape, and the rest is history. I caught the ears of some local DJs. One DJ in particular, named Da Supa Funk Regalata Celo, played me on XM, and from then on, he decided to put me in rotation on 95.5 WPGC on his mix show, 'Tha Takeova'. I've also been played and interviewed on 89.3 WPFW, and 93.9WKYS. I get some spins in clubs and on mix shows now, but of course.....I'm opting for world domination.
