Born in Springfield, Ohio and raised my his mother Crystal and grandmother Octavia, it was in church where Lamont was introduced to singing and dance. He became obessed with music, which led him to become a student of the arts.
Then one day he was introduced to Hip Hop, this expression changed his life forever. Lamont began writing lyrics and performing in talent shows showcasing his talents. In the Citywide Urban League Talent Show, he entered against competition more polished and professional and that night Lamont transformed into KAOZ. Upon willing this talent show KAOZ began working more diligently, starting on his demo.
KAOZ later relocated to Charlotte NC, where he continues to wow audiences in this region. A true lyricist, he has also developed a great production mind. Be it a song, freestyle, or a battle , he will put a lyrical assault on any contender. He is the artist that will put the Rap back into Hip Hop.
