Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.
With "Keyshia Cole", "Pitbull", "Fat Joe", "Nina Sky", "Kymani Marley", "Bun B", "Mims", "Dirtbag" and "Trina" being just some of there recipients. Miami based produciton team "The GhostWriters" are poised to become the next most sought after producers in music . "Our production isn't limited to one style or sound" Lex explains.
The GhostWriters aren’t beholden to just hip-hop or R&B, and are actively draw upon multiple musical influences. “The great thing about our music and talents is some days we may create a couple ballad tracks, then do an extreme hip-hop track, rock track or end up producing a techno track—it doesn’t matter,” says Lex. But this does make it difficult to label The GhostWriters sound with one all encompassing term.
By being a fan of multiple genres, The GhostWriters create sounds that are not always conventional for hip-hop producers today. These sounds are accomplished by not just using typical drums and snares, but by incorporating sounds found in techno, rock or alternative music into a track."You can hear in the music our influences are beyond just hip hop but all types of music"
But The Ghostwriters’ most definitive sound across genres can simply be described as drum-heavy. "Our tracks sound big and hit real hard but when it comes to our R&B tracks I’d say our sound is real fresh, real new and real "R&B". You’re going to appreciate the whole song not just the lyrics of the record".
In order to achieve a myriad of sounds, The Ghostwriters use several pieces of equipment, instruments and programs. Some of their favorites are The MPC 4000, MPC 2000XL, MPC 2500, ROLAND PHANTOM, YAMAHA MOTIF and VIRTUAL SOUNDS. According to Lex, "We definitely don’t get stuck on one or two pieces of equipment." He adds, "We have more than enough to make a hit."
Some producers are harshly criticized for not using enough instrumentation, but The GhostWriters will occasionally utilize live musicians to bring a more live musical element to their tracks.
While they stay busy creating beats for other major artist, they've stayed busy executive producing 20yr old new hip hop artist JASE's upcoming album "FreshMen Day"...With his single "GO HARD" getting radio play through the south east, they look forward to his album dropping early 08.. "Jase is the next generation of hip hop music and we are very excited and anticipate his album release". Lex explains.
The GhostWriters production company is bigger then one individual, its a brand. In addition to actively shopping their beats, they take pride in being producers who are available to artists as they write to their tracks.
According to Lex, "The GhostWriters are "Producers" not "Beat Makers" lets make that clear, were able to come up with the concept, song and arrangement of the vocals for our tracks, this is what seperates this production company from the rest".

I know this is a competition, but i dont look at it that way. Yea we are all in this to win $100,000 and a record deal. That is the truth. But this being my 2nd time in a semifinalist position, I have a humble outlook this time around. Whether i win or not, I am going to keep it real and reach back to the WORLD, and just like LOUD is a community, the WORLD IS ONE BIG COMMUNITY. And i wanted to make it known to everybody the type of nigga I really am. God-willing that my name is in the top 3 and get a check, I am NOT going to act "BIGGER THAN YOU" I am going to be the same person I am, just in a free financial environment that I've never had b4. Real talk. Basically, I am saying that I'm not going to portray selfishness because the reason i really do this music is 4 you. Ya feel wat im saying. And every business that caters to the consumer is successful. For example, if you need work done to your car, and Im the mechanic, I am going to make sure that I fix your car until the engine light goes off, Great service=repeat business. In my case, I am the rapper/lyricist with the mouthpiece and I am going to satisfy your ears always because you will continue to listen. Now, i felt so strongly about making this promise to every1 on LOUD and around the world that I couldnt put it all into words as you can see & wanted to make a song about it, why not on LOUD? The crazy thing is, i had to fit my whole heart & promise into ONE minute. And this is how it came out. So this is really the reallest track i've put on loud in my personal opinion and I hope that you understand and believe that each and every individual is influential to where i am right now in some way, form or fashion. And I Thank you . . . now with that said, check out the new track "MY PROMISE" on Reefa production ((go figure, i was blazed when i wrote it)) and feel free to let me know wat you think. 1 LOVE
