Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.
First off, thank you for visiting my page and checking out my music. I go by the name of X-EL and I was born and half-raised in Augusta, GA (I currently reside here). I went back and forth between my mother (who stayed in Georgia) and my father growing up due to the fact that they were divorced and that my dad was in the military. In my earlier years, I didnt like how my life was. I would go to school and get jived on/picked on because of how I looked and was quiet all the time. On top of this, my mother ended up in abusive relationships with men and we struggled, living in apartments and trailers. On my father's side, it was the same case with school but my father was very strict on raising me and my brother. I started out in music by singing at the age of 4. A year later, I stopped singing and developed an interest in sports. When I reached the 6th grade, I got back into making music but this time, I was only making beats. I would go around in the cafeteria and beat on the lunch tables to amaze my peers. The following year was when my rap career originally started to take off. I started writing lyrics and rapped under the name "Ice" because I thought my rhymes were cold. It wasn't until I moved to New York (Age 15) that I started getting exposure for my music. My boy by the name of Bigg Twon introduced me to Fruity Loops (Production Software) and I immediately started producing my beats as hard-copies. Presenting them to my peers and people, I recieved local recognition for making good beats. Going to school in New York, I would freestyle in cyphers and make beats with my dawgs and we would go nonstop till we had to go to our classes. 2 years later I was relocated to Hawaii because my father had got deployed to Afghanistan to fight the war. While in Hawaii, I recorded my first single "Make'em Lean" with my brother which was an indicator that I could go far in music. After a year of staying in Hawaii, I came back to New York and dropped my first mixtape with the Woof crew (Loueville Slugga, P.A.P.I. Loco, E-Ryda, and Beas) and gained a little fame across the eastcost. After that I released my own mixtape "X-Tape Vol.1". In 2007, I was signed to Double 7 Entertainment at the age of 18 by L-Shep and Caz-L Holla due to the fact that they knew I had the talent, the grind, and potential to grow into something big. Since then I have released many mixtapes and made many beats. I'm now on the grind, passing out mixtapes and recording in studios, living in my hometown Augusta, GA.
