My name is Artur J. Domowicz (Art a.k.a. Der Gletscher). I was born in Poland, where I lived for 7 years. When I was 5 my dad had the chance to leave the country and moved to Germany and applied for assylum. 2 years later, after a battle with Poland's bureaucracy the government told us that we have 24 hours to leave the country because my dad betrayed the system (regime). My grandparents helped us and my mom, my brother and me followed my dad. After 18 years in Germany I relocated to the states and now I've been in chicago for about 4 years. I am writing rhymes for more than 15 years now in Polish, German and English and I've been producing beats for about 5 years. I think it was in 2001 or so when I won the first price in a competition and a one week trip to paris. I hope to be able to work in the future with many different and skilled people on my music to take it to the next level and of course to make it my fulltime occupation.
