Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

: Jonathan "JayStar" Hurt was born and raised in the mother land of Hip Hop. Spending the first half of his child hood in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx New York,Jay's parents wished good things for him. They decided that a life in Long Island would present better oppertunity for him and his two brothers. Like most young African American and Latino families, Jay's family endured hard times and struggle. His mother worked hard in New York City while his father seemed to be making mistake after mistake. Soon his family split and jay with his mother and two brothers moved back to Castle Hill. It was here where Jay heard his first Hip Hop ALbum. He found a tape labeled the Cronic by Dr. Dre and listened to the whole thing. His mother was steeming mad when she found out because she did not want him to hear some of the things that Dr. Dre had to say. Shortly after they moved a couple blocks away to a two bedroom apartment in Parklane on Lafayette Ave and White plains Road. There Jay spent the remainder of his child hood. Although at the time his mother was totally against Rap Music, love for her son caused her to go against what she felt. On his next birth day he asked her to buy him a boom box and snoop doggs "doggy style." Having no choice she complied with his wishes and that was the start to Jay's dedication to Hip Hop. He started on the West and moved to the east coast. He was inspired by groups like Wu-Tang, das FX, Busta Ryhmes, LL, Nas, NORE, the lox, Biggie, and many more. Jay fell in love with Rap music and at the age of 14 decided to write his own lyrics. Rapping over other peoples beats, jay dreamed of hiting the stage and rocking the crowed. Hip Hop remains Jay's first love. When asked about Hip Hop today Jay says "Hip Hop aint what it used to be when he was going up. Its more commercial now." Jay has entered the loud.com contest to take a shot at the 100,000 and most importantly the record deal. : Click on the picture below to learn more about Jay Star by watching "walk with me" a video shot in his hood

New Track "i aiN'T LauGhiN" produced by ShaMoneyXL

This is an excerpt in which Bryan Munson asked about my thoughts on emcees credibility via loud.com

this question & answer inspired my new loud track :I AINT LAUGHIN:

Interview with Drop - 1st Place Semi-Finalist in Group Two Leads By Example

..."Loud.com:  What are your thoughts on emcees becoming credible via an online competition.  Is it an accurate representation for the culture?  It did originate in the streets…DROP: I think it's definitely credible now.  I put it like this: over time, the streets have gotten crazy.  Like the stories you hear in songs and the stories you hear about artists getting signed on the street… it's almost like it's… not old, but that, people are looking for something NEW, you feel me?  You can go online and it's perfect, like, you can find a new voice online.  If you take your experiences and bring them to the web, how is that any different than an open mic?  As long as you got a mic plugged in, you can take your experiences from the streets WHEREVER YOU GO.  I think you'll definitely see some big names come out of Loud.com, word up."

this is dat ol' GANGSTA sh*t .. vibe wit me and let me know wat u think ..

FIF GANG!! BANG!! BANG!!
