Codine was born November 3, 1983 in Richmond, VA. Only there for 6 months, he was moved to Atlanta where he was raised. Coming from a music family, Codine was always involved in music in some way.
With a father on the horns, and a brother on the drums, Codine learned to play guitar at the age of twelve. It was around this time that he began to take a serious interest in Hip-Hop, from No Limit to Dr. Dre and the west coast. Always rhyming with poetry, he figured the best way to combine his two loves (music and poetry) was to become a rapper. He heard a rhyme scheme by a famous artist that triggered his desire to make a name for himself and it was the love of this rhyme scheme and how it was put together that fascinated Codine enough to begin to pursue his dream. He wrote his first song in 1999 at the age of 15 and made his first beat at the age of 18 in 2002. He was a radio DJ from 2001-2005 in Indiana on 91.5 WGRE and hosted his own show every Friday night called "Freestyle Flavaz" There he would play his own music along with the mainstream. During certain intervals, he would freestyle instead of talk and tested his own abilities by rapping about anything he saw to reporting the weather. He met a superproducer in 2002 and really started working with him in 2004. Since then, he has been on hundreds of songs and is seeking an outlet for his music to be heard. You can hear some of his latest by going to www.indiecharts.com/codine or www.myspace.com/codine and he has recently tapped into making music videos. His first video "Dragon Mouf" can be seen on youtube.com. He understands that behind every successful person lies a pack of haters and has dedicated his time and energy to proving them wrong everyday. His dream is to see the look in the eye of every hater he's had to deal with once his album, "The Betrayal" debuts.
