Personally I KNOW we Devolved/Gone Backwards as far as the progression of HipHop. Nas has been around for more than ten years and how many can COME CLOSE to his lyrical prowess ? (noun: a superior skill that you can learn by study and practice and observation). Eminem and Jay are exceptions.
Also...the substance of the poetic/art side of HipHop is DEAD amongst the NEW generation of MC's.
