Thanks to everyone that has supported me from day one up til now. These 23 rounds of grindin have be crazy na mean. Alot of ups and downs. More ups than downs. Yo checkin out ya tracks now,just read your profile man I'm gonna tell ya something I wish someone topld me at 21 yrs old. Go to your county clerks office get a dba"doing business as" and start your own label. You've gotta give the majors a reason to come to you.Plus when you put out your own label the rest of the industry takes you alot more serious. Theres all kinds of resources on the net to help you out,but as far as waiting for a major to find you ya gotta make some noise. I've been in several negotiations with a couple of decent sized labels however there are never any guarantees that they have to ever release your music then your tied down for 5 to 7 years and it ain't worth it. I sold about 7,000 cd's last year and pocketed every cent which has grossed me just over 70,000.00 now any major label would drop me for these numbers but in the mean time I got paid more than alot of artist who are supposebly signed got paid so do it yourself and make them come to you because then you have more leverage to negotiate.But the tracks I've heard so far tell me you can sell out of the trunk and get paid now!!!! Don't wait no one's gonna look after your music more than you. by the way it only should cost about 30.00 to file your company name at the clerks office.email me if you have any questions.-rodfatha
