Well it all started before the age of sixteen. Blitz and friends were constantly recording themselves performing with a camcorder. Having done this for quite a while a friend suggested forming a group. “Let’s get on this rap thing” was heard more then once while chillin’ and burnin’.
They always had fun but as time passed the other guys ambition to make it big faded while Blitz’s grew. Blitz continued to write on his own, perform on his own, and do whatever it took to pursue his dream. Making it more difficult the strained relationship with his step-dad finally came to a head and resulted in Blitz being asked to leave by his mother.
Now living with his aunt Blitz continued to network and meet new people to collaborate with. Eventually Blitz met some guys in the building he moved to who had the same love of rap and performing. With nothing more then a cd player, a mic and a boom box Blitz started to record with his new peers.
Over the years many great people influenced his grow as a writer and a performer. Guys at his school also started being around and worked together. All this happened due to a constant love of the music and an ongoing willingness to perform.
Blitz really started to grow as he mentored other artists and started selling his own mix tapes. Some of his friends could write but the lacked that Blitz spittin’ style. Friends learned how to make beats and always wanted Blitz to perform on their track. As always, he did.
As years passed Blitz grew tired of party lyrics all the time. Battle tracks and real “story tracks” highlighted his many talents so much better. People came and people went . . . some are still around . . . but the moral of this story is Gun Hookz is still killin it.
