Fresh Mann was born in Eugene Oregon to unmarried, unstable parents. Unable to care for him and his older sister due to neglect, violence, alcohol and drug problems, his parents lost custody when he was about 2 years old. At four years of age, he was adopted with his sister into a loving Christian household.
"I went to a private school thru 8th grade", says Fresh. That didnt keep him from getting into trouble, however. At the age of 14, he was arrested and put into juvenile detention for unspecified reasons. "It was there that I realized something wasnt right with my life and I had better figure it out".
After his release, Fresh had a new confidence in the life he had chose with his Christian faith. He had always been writing rhymes, but now it was getting more serious. Over time, he started putting them to beats and recording. He has been actively pursuing this art as a profession since January of 2003 when he had his first public performance at West Albany High School.
"My struggles werent over though, I have had some major ups and downs in my life, but I have kept on pressing. This dream that started with my best friend growing up has been my outlet, my release since 4th grade. Just like I had to physically and mentally mature and develop, so has my music, and it wont stop maturing and developing until I die".
