AFTER WORKING ON LOUD, AND USING A 20 DOLLAR MIC THROUGH A LAPTOP AND GETTIN A SOME WHAT FULL SOUND USING ONE TRACK, NO CHOPS , AND NO PLUGINS IT MADE ME REALIZE THAT MAYBE THE WAY I USED TO PUSH THE BANDWIDTH WAS PREVENTING ME FROM ACHIEVE A CLOSER TO INDUSTRY SOUND. I ALWAYS USED TO DOUBLE MY VERSES, AND USALLY PAN THE DOUBLE A LIL BIT AND TURN IT DOWN, AND NOW IT SEEMS LIKE THERES REALLY NO NEED FOR A DOUBLE ON A VERSE. FOR MY OVERDUBS ID DO 2 TRACKS AND OF THE SAME OVERDUBS AND PAN ONE ALL THE WAY LEFT AND ONE ALL THE WAY RIGHT, THEN I MIGHT DO SOME HARMONIES IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE VERSE WHICH CONSISTED OF 2 TO 4 MORE TRACKS, AND THEN MAYBE A TRACK OF EXTRA BACKGROUNDS. IVE DISCOVERED THAT THIS DIDNT ENHANCE MY MUSIC BUT TOOK AWAY FROM IT. SAME FOR HOOKS EVERY HOOK WAS A MANDITORY 4 TRACKS PANNED L R L R, AND THEN ID LAYER OTHER HARMONIES IN SOMETIMES AND SHIT ON SOME HOOKS ID USED 20 TRACKS, WHEN MAYBE ONLY 4 ARE NESSISARY. YESTERDAY I RECORDED A VERSE FOR MY BOY JOE WIGGLES MIX TAPE, I DID ONE TRACK, ONE TRACK OF OVERDUBS, AND 2 TRACKS OF ADLIBS FOR MY VERSE. TODAY I STARTED MIXING PROCESS AND AFTER I MAXIMIZED THE VERSE AND PUT A LIL COMPRESSOR ON IT IT ALREADY SOUNDED BETTER QUALITY WISE THAN ANYTHING IVE EVER DID, THATS PRE EQ AND ANY CHORUS OR ANYTHING I MIGHT THROW ON THERE. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH IT I HAD TO TELL YALL ABOUT IT.
