Music in general is not making money unless you're in a rock band with a 3 year scheduled national tour. Money isn't everything. Hip Hop has surrounded itself with the very thing that corrupts men. MONEY! SEX! GREED! VIOLENCE!
Do you notice that the hottest M'Cs are the brokest M'Cs? I don't know about you! But I ain't no sell out. I realize that the music business is a business. That's why I work 10x harder then the next man on making the type of music that can reach a wide range of people. But I hate all the immulating today,. I'm all about orginating a sound. Being myself without losing myself!
Look, I'm all about keeping it real. But what is real? I have 7 felonies and seen shit I really wish I haven't. But y0-I ain't out telling my story on tracks. So what is REAL? REAL is how you feel... Hip Hop is my life and saturating my music so much negative vibes will only end in a negative results!
Keep Hip Hop alive by being a living example of what it is NOT to be a sell out. Don't try to do what the next man is doing... do you on a different level. Don't use auto-tuner like T-Pain damnit! Thats his thing.... Don't make Akon a feature on your first single..... That dude is on everyone's single!!! Don;t chase the radio let the radio chase you!
