If I truly decided to rhyme ya'll be sitting ducks, but freestylin leads me to being careless with my speaking. I don't want to ruin my soul and get punished for selfish ambitions. The state of things are horrible, and all I see and hear is substandard (no offense to cats I haven't peeped but judging out the abundance of what I see, I doubt it gets much better), this all is nowhere near true artisanship. I didn't choose those beats to be on my page and I don't know how to get them off. I thought about geting into the contest just to shine a little but I can't find no beats I want to get down on. In all due respect, I haven't checked all the producers profiles and each beat, but I'm hearing alot of bogus synths and basic sounding things that don't really complement my style which is the same thing I'm running in to out here in Texas. I figure if I can rhyme, why put out somn nice on some basic music that doesn't really complement my style or persona. It's like everyone rhymes nowadays, but there's no actual thought or creativity going in to alot of the music being put out, and producers are sounding pretty weak. I don't get inspired no more and I don't feel it's necessary for me to fall into the trap or a vibe that says a true emcee can rhyme to anything. I look at emceing like a craft and a craftsman just doesn't offer his or her skills just to have people know that own that talent. Rhymin for nothing is what I don't want to do and I don't want to get on some beat that doesn't sound right to me just so peole can say that fool wrecks or what not. I actually got on this joint to hear the new Wu track in the first place then got intreagued by the contest but I want whoever sees the profile to understand that I didn't choose those beats and in no way do they reflect my personality or feeling toward music. What happened to the golden age man when heads were droppin nothing but gems, Forget all this basic sounding shit. Use the tools God gave you and make something. Can't wait for that Wu album to drop. I'm going to keep my eyes open but truth is I probably won't end up compromising just to put my name out.
