Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

Weez is a 24 year old Hip-Hop artist currently living in Pretoria, South-Africa. He is an original artist who creates his own lyrics and is constantly working and learning with an ear on the streets. His music is exciting new and fresh in his specific genre and his mission is to create a product that every culture can relate to, both locally and in the international market. “It’s about time that somebody step up and do Hip-Hop the way it’s suppose to be! South African needs a power injection for the Hip-Hop section..” Besides working with local producers, Weez also broadened his vision and cohered with other producers from Zimbabwe, California and New York. Weez made his first professional recording in August 2006 with a producer from Nigeria named “Maye” and his song called “Verbal Massacre” was play listed on a local radio station – 5 FM. This song sneaked onto the hi5@5 chart as a new entry at number 20. Thereafter it hit the number 1 spot on this chart for 2 weeks in a row and remained for a total of 11 weeks on the charts. The song was the 11th most requested song of 2007 on 5FM. This hit song “Verbal Massacre” was recently also recorded on a compilation album in the United States by DJ Khaled from the Terror Squad with other artist that included AKON and T.I. A well known local club artist, “Lady Lea”, also requested to record another song called “Permanent Damage” with Weez. This album “Catch me if you can - 3rd time lucky” is due to be released in November 2007. Weez will also be touring with Lady Lea through South-Africa in November and December 2007. The “Zoo Magazine” did a formal interview in March this year with him and in the publication the reporter announced Weez as “… South Africa’s own EMINEM” He also worked with a well known DJ and producer, DJ Dino Bravo on some of the tracks off the album “Get Ready” Weez and the Afrikaans rock band “Dertig Nul Ses” has recorded a theme song for the music channel MK 89’s Matrix show for 2008. Weez is a definite icon that will soon place the South-African Music market in a different perspective.
