The greatest story teller since Biggie or Pac period. Cats ain't writing no more its all about partying and what they got but this guy puts the soul back in rap./ he will be the "Godfather of Soul Rap".-Rollin' Stone BIO Big Lee “It stands for Straight Hustler’s Intimate Thoughts,” Big Lee explains the significance of the title of his new album The S.H.I.T album, due on the record label he owns Ghetto Warrior Music. Born Lee Jackson in the City of Houston. Big Lee burst on the scene in 2000, spitting fire along side ATCH Recording artist Prime Flo, adding kick to his live shows while etching his own name in stone. Soon the buzz for a Big Lee album was near fever pitch, but a deal with ATCH records was not to be. So ever the improviser Big Lee decided to chose his own course. Along with his best friend Mr. Black he developed Ghetto Warrior Records, and signed himself. “ Nobody can pay you like you, that’s what my mama taught me, so it is what it is.” Soon he dropped “The General” and everyone in Houston and surrounding areas was captivated. “Passion & Xtacy” soon followed, along with “I Got My People”, and the catchy “Hennessy & Belvedere” his ode to his favorite drinks. “We got drunk on Hennessy & Belvedere nearly every weekend so it was almost natural for me to do that song.” In May 2002 he took his songs and put them on one disc and dropped SOUTHPARK: The True Story, fans got to hear the above classics alongside some new classic material. Songs like “Lil’ Homies” in which Big Lee details the story of a young man who gets caught up in the wrong lifestyle and loses his life. “But he feel betrayed/so he lives his life in rage/and he said his only friend is a 12 gage…the Lil’ Homie” and a classic love ballad of the rap genre, “U Got Me Dancin’” in which he tells the female “I’m on fire but I might let you touch me/cause’ when I’m with ya’ I feel something that always seduct me” In 2004 following the death of both of his parents Big Lee went through a change. “I couldn’t write, I couldn’t perform, I was a mess, but soon I found that music could be my outlet and that songs really do provide therapy to the soul.” Thus coming to this project, fans get the goods right from the start with the “Intro” then Big Lee delivers classic, timeless material like “See Me Cry”, “Tired of Saying R.I.P”, “Miracle Girl”, “Hold Up”, “I Am The Greatest”, and many others. “This is not just music to me, it’s a part of me leaving and going forth, it’s like my ear, my hand, my heart, a part of me you dig? Its truly my music.” With hit songs, impressive lyrical content, a new understanding of the business, and the excitement of a whole city behind him, this album may truly live up to its billing, and fall in the annals of time alongside The Chronic, Ready To Die, Me Against The World, Illmatic, and The Blueprint as one of Hip-Hop’s greatest albums.
