When Young Rico was first introduced to Hip-Hop he never knew he would fall in love with a pen and pad. Growing up around his cousins and older friends he lived the fast life, which he had to grow up quick in. The life he was living was all inspired by his atmosphere, getting in trouble in school, and making dumb choices in the neighborhood. As he got older he started witnessing those same people he looked out to selling drugs, doing drugs, going to jail, and even passing away. He always felt that the tears he cryed for the situations around him just stayed on his heart and built up pain. That's when he turned to the pad it was more of a emotional release. He kept writing, and soon realized his talent which had eventually got put to the test. When older emcee's in school or in the neighborhood would challenge him to a battle. At the young age of 13 he was doing his thing on the battle scene but didn't know how to record a song. So he started studying his craft and realizing his style and it's evolved to who he is now.
