Born as Adrian "Unique" Garner, she is the youngest of three siblings. Music has been her passion since she was a young girl. At the age of 5, her mom recognized her gift to sing. At age 7, she became known as the girl, "who will sing at the drop of a dime." As a pre-teen, she became a member of Revived Youth Chorus, under the instruction of Deborah Sledge, daughter of the late Percy Sledge, based in Sheffield, Al. Performing at different gospel venues allowed her to shed any fears of stage fright. At an early age, she was able to bring a crowd to it's feet, with her power-house voice. Due to the uniqueness of sound she possesses, intern she was given the nickname Unique. Realizing her opportunity in the music industry, her family relocated to Nashville, TN, where she currently resides. Unique was a former member of Nashville Youth Chorus, under the direction of well known singer Darwin Mason Jr. of the FISK Jubilee Singers. She began writing poetry and progressively moved into writing her own lyrics. This young singer/model also possesses a seductive, yet mellow voice that grabs the listeners attention as she tells story of love, sex, and life through her own experiences. With the passion to become her own, she decided to branch from gospel music to R&B as a solo artist. She recorded her first single Emotions, where she worked closely with A&R/Producers, Antonio Michaels and Keith Anderson of AKA Ent based in Ga. She release her first demo album titled, Feelings in 2003. Unique's sound became the new buzz, and she was known to many as the soultrist with a sex appeal. She worked closely with AKA ent for several years developing her own style. She also begin collaborating with several local rap artists in TN and Ga. Her mellow and distinct R&B sound, has been featured with some of the hottest local acts, such as rapper/producer Dunlap of S.W.A.T.S Beats ent., Alpo of EP records, S.W.E.E.T.S, Malicah, Mayo, and Fresh all artists of Rock Solid ent., and much more. Her greatest achievement was singing back vocal leads for Teairra Mari, a former artist of Rockafella Records. In 2005, she landed 13 months Development Management Contract with AKA ent also affiliates of Arista Records. This allowed Unique to experience the "behind the scenes" of the industry, and to learn what it takes to be more than just an artist. Now 8 years strong in the music industry, Unique feels she is ready to show the world what she is made of. While remaining well grounded, she is also confident her passion for music and dedication, will allow her to accomplish anything.
