The group UNDAHOOD was formed by four aspiring artist known for their performances of the corridors and cafeteria of Thornwood High school in South Holland, Illinois. With the influences of heavily lyrical artists such as: AZ, Big Pun, Nas, Jay-Z and Common the group independently released their debut EP Hood Music which was an instant classic within the Chicago underground. With the release of the groups second EP Hood Scriptures UH has been greatly accepted by hip-hop fans since its release in the summer of 2006. Aside from currently performing, promoting and auditioning for several tours the group is also looking to break away from cliché local success with film scoring internet based shows and foreign exposure. With extreme attention paid to detail, artistic integrity and street music UNDAHOOD is thoroughly prepared and inspired to become a classic hip-hop group with their highly anticipated first volume to their third EP The Empire.
