Wilnell Henry a.k.a Prince Nev was born in Chicago, IL. June 15, 1973. He was raised back and forth in Lansing, MI. Prince Nev has been involved in the art of music since a child, writing scripts for plays in elementary gave Prince Nev his passion for music. In 1989, Prince Nev found life not to be so easy, he found himself in a situation that landed him in prison for 15 years. There is where he continued to discover his natural talent as an artist. His raw lyrics is an expression of his life’s reality music, but good to the soul. With college courses and craft experience under his belt, Prince Nev began focusing his attention on writing music and free styling in ciphers, taking the throne in The Department of Corrections. Prince Nev as released in 2004, now by way of the streets, Prince Nev has displayed his ability to be a high energy performer. With his casual thug shine, his glow as a good hearted person shows beyond compare. Being real is nothing he has ever had to guess at or be questioned about. “The streets I am till my bones are dust”. "Life is only complicated when you're unable to see things. Being locked up forced me to see things in slow motion, allowed me to understand and make the correct choices in life. I could never be bitter, only grateful for being able to understand life as more of a community-oriented process.” A good man with extraordinary energy, Prince Nev performs regularly at local clubs and community venues, never missing a beat, seizing every chance to nourish his growing fan base with a unique blend of powerful lyrical realism and upbeat grass-roots soul. Prince Nev has opened up for several major artists such as: YoungBloodz in Jackson, MI 2006, Freeway in Jackson, MI 2006, Petey Pablo in Jackson, MI 2007, Lil Wayne & Birdman in Lansing, MI 2008, Young Jeezy & Rick Ross in Grand Rapids, MI 2008. Prince Nev also appeared on stage with Hot Rod of G-Unit in Detroit, MI 2008.
