Based in Washington, DC, Platoon Records is the area's fastest growing independent record label. Platoon Records is committed to expanding the musical landscape by allowing artists and the production team (Heavy Artillery) the freedom to take their talents to new levels. Each member is influenced by the other's unique style ans charisma, resulting in the creation of unique sounds. Achievements include "Misery & Pain"'s first single, "Shake It & Pop It", a great success, earning a spot in rotation at radio stations in several cities, and making the local charts in Charlotte, NC. Also Platoon Records produces a series of "Mix Tape" cd's showcasing local area artists with all production done by Heavy Artillery and all recording, mixing, and manufacturing done by Platoon Records in our facility. We have been able to act as our own distributor setting up consignment deals with sevral local record stores. The music industry is the label's first priority, however, Platoon Records' interest embrace fation, films, and real estate. Social involement is also a major interest, participating in the mentoring of youth in inner-city areas. Platoon Records is also striving to position itself to partake in building and restoring recreational centers and inner-city homes and developing educational and financial programs for under-privileged families.
