Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

No matter if it’s making beats, recording songs, marketing and promoting, booking shows, writing lyrics, graphic design or event organizing, Bri does it all. Only being 17 years old. She started making beats at the young age of 10. “I remember sitting back and watching my older brother and his friends make beats and freestyle, and I wanted to be just like them.” Bri says about what influenced her to make beats. Using programs like Acid, Fruity Loops and Reason, Bri has become a beat making machine. “I want to be just like Timbaland or Nitti when it comes to beat making.” Bri says. Using her own beat patterns, a computer program called Acid Pro, and a microphone used for Internet chatting, Bri has produced about 30+ songs since the age of 12. Because Bri has been writing and making beats for so long, her lyrical talent and beat making skills have become outstanding. Bri has her own style, and it reflects through her music. “I think I’m different than all of these other female rappers because I am more than just a sex symbol, I present myself differently and I got my own swagger. I don’t dress like them, I don’t act like them, and when I rap, I’m not just trying to be cute. I like to get on stage and just wild out. Performance is everything. Every time I get on stage I get the crowd crunk, I give them my all, and they show me so much love afterwards, and I think the best thing about being an artist is doing shows. So if you cant perform your not a true artist.” Bri explains. “I’m not saying I’m better than anybody because somewhere there is a chick who can probably out flow me or make better beats than me. So no, I’m not saying I’m better than anybody, I’m just saying I’m different and I like being different.” Bri has been doing shows every since she started recording songs, at 12 years old. Her very first show was in her hometown, Champaign IL, at an event called Champaign-Urbana Day. “That was not my first time on stage because every since I was able to sing I have been in talent shows and plays, but it was my first time performing my own material and it was Amazing.” Bri says in excitement. “Since I was always doing talent shows I was used to dancing and singing to songs by other artist, but when I performed my own song and the crowd liked it, it was a whole different feeling. I didn’t think that people would actually like my music because I wasn’t rich and famous. But, as I continued to do shows and think more like an artist, I realized that just because I’m not rich and famous doesn’t mean I’m not a real artist. I love my music and I know I am a VERY good, hard working artist and performer.” ~Some other shows that Bri have done are: Champaign County’s ‘Champaign-Urbana Day every year from 2002-2005; Champaign County’s Central and Centennial High School talent shows every year from 2004-2006; Talent show case at Diamonds Club, Rantoul IL in 2003; We Good Ent. Hood rap war, Urbana IL, 2004 (3rd place winner), County Rap Show, Gary IN, 2004; Talent fest, Danville IL, 2005; Lincoln Hall Campus talent show, Champaign IL, 2005; Hurricane Katrina dedication show with rapper Young Noah, Champaign Central High School, IL, 2006; The canopy Club hip-hop show case, Urbana IL, 2006. “Every time I do a show the crowd loves me, I put so much power and energy into my performance. I am very well known in the Champaign area. Now I’m ready to go world wide.” Says Bri When its time for Bri to do a show, she is her own promoter, graphic designer, photographer, etc…”I come from a very low income family so I don’t have all the money to pay some one to make my flyers and pass them out. I don’t have the money to pay for a photo-shoot. That’s why I took Graphic Design classes in high school because I knew that I would have do for my self, and I’m actually very good at it.” Bri states. “And also, it’s not hard to hold the camera in front of my face and snap a picture of my self. That’s why I have a lot of nice Head Shots.”(laughing) Bri’s dreams of becoming a rapper/producer have forced her to work hard on her career. Bri is a very talented rapper/producer and she is determined to make it far. This UNSIGNED artist, Bri, have been striving for a record deal or a chance to shine for a very long time now, and she really deserves it. Written BY: Bri a.k.a Da Child.
