Born and bred in Birmingham UK, K.M.D is a 25 year old Producer/Songwriter/Artist/DJ/ Workshop Facilitator/ Entrepreneur.

KMD (K) a.k.a ‘King’ is "Triple K's" front man and C.E.O of independent label ‘Seriously Hectic Records’. K believes “if you want something, you have to go out there and get it!” This statement gives him the motivation and makes him the business minded person he is today.

K comes from a musical orientated family and he took his first steps into the world of music at the age of 8 years old, on his dad’s sound system. Amazed at the sound of his voice through the speakers, K knew what he wanted to be when he grew up. Since then K’s been in the lab studying his ‘trade’, they say practise makes perfect and alongside his ‘team’ he has created a buzz on the streets of the UK with his tight production and manipulated flow!

In May 2004 KMD entered a ‘producer’s battle’, where two contestants each get 5 minutes to produce a track on stage in front of an anticipating audience. He won with flying colours and the crowd showed their appreciation – this made KMD hungrier and more focused! 12th March 2006, KMD’s production finally got some national recognition when he reached No.1 in the CHANNEL U (SKY DIGITAL 360) CHARTS (TWICE) with Amnesia – ‘Welcome To My Zones’ video vote no. 704

If you ask KMD “What elements make a track hot?” His reply will be, ‘MELODIES & EMOTIONS’. “The melodies in any piece of music have to captivate you and the emotions have to move you in one way or another. This always does it for me. If it’s lackin’ it ain’t packin’!” The result of growing up in a household basking in the sounds of ‘Motown’, from his Mother and ‘Roots Reggae’, from his Father.

Inspired by the likes of Dr Dre, Timbaland, Michael Jackson, Snoop, Garnett Silk, Sizzla, Ludacris and Missy, K knows he has the skills to be at the top of his game. Armed with his own style and endless creativity, KMD is like no other.

KMD’s solo project, ‘It’s Too Late!’ street album is out in April 2007.

* KMD comes 2nd out of 70 contestants (worldwide) at Activision’s ‘True Crime’ game soundtrack competition, at Midem (Cannes, France) 2006

* 14/03/06 - Amnesia & KMD interviewed & perform on Channel U’s ‘Illout Show’ Hosted by BBC 1Xtra’s ‘Ace & Invisible’

* 26/03/06 - Amnesia’s ‘Welcome 2 My Zones’ produced by KMD, reached the no.1 spot on Channel U’s ‘Official Urban Top 20 Chart Show’. (First time for Birmingham artistes to reach no.1!)

* ‘Welcome 2 My Zones’ reaches no.1 again 2 weeks later!

* 29/03/06 - ‘Welcome 2 My Zones’ debut on MTV BASE!

* 11/06/06 - KMD hosts Channel U’s ‘Official Urban Top 20 Chart Show’

* 11/06/06 - Seriously Hectic Allstars’ ‘History In The Making’ enters Channel U’s top 20 charts at no.8, after only 2 weeks of broadcast.

* 28/06/06 - Seriously Hectic Allstars’ ‘History In The Making’ debuts on MTV Base’s ‘From the Endz’
