Ever since Ipco can remember he has been determined to be an Emcee. He was writing song lyrics before he picked up a baseball bat , smoked some pot, or distributed, the "Whiteman's poison". Ipco Started putting the pen to the pad in the third grade which would have put him at 7 or 8 yrs. old. After dropping the Violin which he had played for two years including performances for City officials , sporting events , and convalescence homes , He wrote his first "Rap" for the school bake sale at the urgence of a teacher who he doesn’t remember the name of.Growing up in Richmond Ca , where his older brother was popular Richmond DJ , DJ ICEBURG and letting himself succumb to the streets of Central Richmond, better known as the Iron Triangle, Ipco,/ formed a rap group with Erase-E and other neighborhood young bucks,called Y.M.M. or Young Money Makers. Erase, who as far as both can remember, has been like a Big Brother to Ip a couple years later in his late teens and Ips early teens ,Erase caught a solo deal and released strictly 4 the G’s. At that same time though an artist by the name of Tupac Shakur had started hanging with the “ older hommies” from the Iron Triangle while he was getting ready to film Juice and recording his first album 2pacalypse Now. 2pac, after returning from filming juice took Ipco and a few other young men from the area (Jess-dog R.I.P, Erase’s younger cousin Reese, Dean, AG, and Sweyzie)in which he was hanging and formed the group Have Notts. The group performed appeared in videos and had a album produced by2pac and his manager Charles Fuller and was set to release on Jive Records but didn’t due to a disagreement with the label. Before an independent release could be made, 2pac and Charles Fuller were arrested on false rape accusations. With the absence of 2pac the group ceased the majority of their hip-hop activities and continued to get deeper into the streets.(note: 2pac was out of jail 8 months before his unfortunate death.Would he have comeback???}This is when Ipco became a solo artist and started his campaign against mark & wack emcees.(see Ipco if you don’t think there’s a difference) While collaborating with Erase and his other brothers from another mother the brohydez,(AL WEST,DAP DANIELS, HUSTLE SIMMONZ,FLII STYLES,KLECK KLECKLEY,EZUP}on various projects IPCO and his closest road dawg S.T.N (also known as SLICK the Nigga and MaddGatta} co-founded the group MADDMEN which featured ERASE-E,STN,IPCO, BRIMSTONE,DUNNIE,QADE,FACTOR,T-TIGHT,VOZ,E-WHITE,and BABY–T and was an assortment of EMCEES and producers Which due to untimely deaths and incarcerations the 12 track album never released,(DUE OUT SUMMER 07 on Lethal Injection/Equipped Records). Over the course of time Ipco has recorded songs from the Bay to NY. In 1996 he recorded a song with Atlantic recording artist Dance Hall artist Louie Rankin titled See My Brand New Gun. He did the underground classic Bro-Hydez EP which sold 20,000 out the trunk and featured AL West Hustle Simmons and Dap Daniels. He was on the S.T.N Game Stress album, Erase-Es Longevity album, Certified Riders ep,Sonny Blacks I’ve seen 2 much, Al west 580 west, Brimstone’s Juggernaut album and several Mixed tapes and compilations..
