Just call me Dojah. I'm an emcee from South East San Diego. Grew up there, and, as a result, witnessed alot of abnormal normalities associated with living in the "hood" as DJ kHaled would say. I never really took hip-hop as an art seriously until 1998. I remember listening to Mos Def's "Ms. Fat booty" and exponentially grew an ear for beats. Before that my ears were more prone to jazz, specifically bop, as well as the oldies. Around my early teens, I moved to Los Angeles where I really became a part of the rap culture. I entered in freestyle competitions every chance I could and would record basic tracks using nothing but RECORD. The basic windows program.
I had my run ins with political oppression, racial discrimination, cannabis, coke, gang violence, and all that shit we love to talk about in rap.
I speak on it but I'm trying to do me too. By doing me, I like to twist and play with words and make every bar as interesting as the one before it. Come see me if you want, but my flow is blunt, trauma so blunt, it'll make your growth stunt. Call it a ghost punt. Can't see it.
My crew goes by the name C.I.P. We got a pod cast. Check us out.
