I am a struggling recording artist trying to make a name for myself and at the same time get my independent record label of the ground I stay in the studio I Just dropped my First Album but i got hits for days. For More Just Read Futher BIO I am a solo artist that goes by the name Da R.I.S.K, my real name is Michael Demps, I have been rapping for about ten years. My genre of music is rap/hip-hop, but I like all kinds of music. I am from Philadelphia, Pa. and I am twenty-five years old. My influences are people like 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, Rakim,Eric B, and The L.O.X. They play a major part in my career. I also have received remarks from people like Scott Herzog, owner of Third Story Recording, “that my music was good and that I can bring a fresh feel to the industry and best wishes in my road to my goals”. At this time I don’t have a new album coming out because I have been more focused on getting recognized by more DJs than anything else, also I have been trying to set up shows and events to promote my music. Right now I currently go to college for Construction Technology as a major, because I was always taught to have a back-up plan for everything that I do. I am affiliated with a number of people producers, other artist, recording studios, etc. The one that I do the most business with though is an independent label called Gin & Tonic Entertainment, owner King Verbz. The label has other artists that are frequent, such as, I.G, Swatz, Shorty Do-wop, just to name a few. Our major career path is to get individual recognition by the industry also to get the label into the doors the industry as well. We support each other in whatever we as individuals decide to do. All I ask is for a chance I understand that like major league sports, this is a job. I am a hard working individual that can handle any challenge that is handed to me.
