>Who is Drop: You may remember him from the group “The Gutta Boyz”. Drop put in his work with the group and shortly after decided to pursue his goal as a solo artist.

Why does he refer to the “Gutta” when he describes himself: Drop has been through a lot growing up; he has seen a lot and experienced a lot. Because life wasn’t easy for him and being born and raised in the hood, he feels that he really does have the mind of a “gutta nigga”. So when it comes down to telling his story through his music, it’s real raw, he keeps it funky and real…your ears have to be ready.

What does Drop have in the works right now: Right now we’re focused on getting Drop a record deal. He is defiantly unsigned HYPE and he can rock and roll with the best of them. Drop understands that trying to become established in this business can be a very tedious process; however, he has a strong base pushing and working for him helping to get him where he deserves to be. Right now, he’s pumped for ’07, constantly writing and recording, doing shows and just perfecting his craft, so when it’s his turn to shine…he’ll be more than ready.

Would you say he choose music or music choose him: I would say it’s a bit of both…Drop really feels that music is his way out the hood and his way of staying out of trouble…and he has the gift! Everybody is not well at expressing themselves, especially through rhymes…and although some people feel that anyone can learn how to rap…there has to be some talent intertwined with the skill. Drop is skilled, talented, and driven…and like a good friend of mines says, ‘Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard’.

Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

LIL DROP In an attempt to enhance the intentions of the industry, I now introduce to you, Donielle Remon Rivers, IKA (Industry Known As) Lil Drop. Lil Drop, born July 29th,1986 in Pensacola, Fl, is the youngest of his mothers two sons. He relocated to Orlando, Fl in the year of 1995. Industry known as “ THE “O” It was then that he became united with his God-Brother, Mickey Claitt Jr. At that time they began what is now known as a career in the Rap Industry. Back then it was merely something to do. In the year 2002, Drop and Lil Mic decided to really persue their career and hit the streets by storm as the “GUTTA BOYZ ”. Drop is a proud graduate of Maynard Evans High School. Shortly there after, some changes took place and it kinda left Drop to persue the industry for a while on the Solo tip. Within his career, Drop has had the opportunity of performing with artist like, Lil Boosie, Webbie, Yung Jock, Franchise Boys, Trick Daddy, Mr. Magic, Lil Flip, Young Jeezy, Young Buck, Granddaddy Souf, TrillVille, Acafool, and many others. He has also had various opportunities to perform with Pastor Troy, as well as record a single with him. Additionally, because of Drop’s hunger for success, his grind has allowed him to network with and become acquainted with a lot of artist, producers, promoters and people in all other aspects of the industry. Drop was inspired by first of all, his inspiration came from losing his God-Brother, Michael Shackelford. That put him on his P’s and Q’s and gave him some drive. Then tragically, he lost someone a little closer. On September 19th, 2006, his best friend/God-Brother, Jason Anthony “ J-Slap ” Blake was killed. Not being enough to lose Slap, but Drop walked in and found him shot in the head. J-Slap, who was also an artist can be heard on two of the songs on Drop’s mix cd, Mind of A Gutta Nigga. (Stuck In Da Pass and That’s Real). To top off Drop’s inspiration to master his goal is Miss Jahlia Aniya Blake. Jahlia is Jason’s daughter whom was born three days after he was killed. Drop, happily being appointed and accepting the responsibility as Jahlia’s God-Father is even more determined now. Honarary thanks to the following people: Shaunda- J-Slap’s baby mama (Now Drop’s Sister), Ms. Shavon- J-Slap’s mother, Brian- J-Slap’s brother and Ms. Debbie. R.I.P.
