Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

Tupac Shakur's 'little brother' and protege, Candyman 187 is the Leader, Front-man and one of the original members of Tha Havenotz. Fortunate enough to be under the tutilage of Tupac Shakur, Yaasmyn Fula, Mutulu Shakur, and many other Leaders of our generation, he brings a "thugged out yet politicaly charged" lyrical style to the album. Having been raised in the West and the East Coast, Candyman 187 has a style that can surpass boundaries. A product of the streets, Candyman 187 is also the youngest member of the revamped group, he is the wild and most controversial one out of the bunch. With a gritty edge to his lyrics and deep raw concepts to his songs, and a flow similar to that of his mentor and older brother, Tupac, Candyman 187 promises to keep the world at the edge of their seats, helping them deal with all aspects of their lives and yet still forcing them to think and face reality. Introduced to music at a very early age, his passion was fueled through his mentor, the legendary Tupac Shakur, who immediately took Candyman 187 under his tutilage and adopted him as his little brother. Tupac taught Candyman how to rap, and then gave him the alias Candyman 187. Always a poet, Candyman was taught by Tupac how to take his poetry and express it vocaly. The knowledge, wisdom, support and love of Tupac pushed Candyman to new heights not only in rapping but in life. Tupac also took Candyman and Kadafi and started the group known as Tha Havenotz. But with the untimely deaths of both his brothers, Tupac and Kadafi, Candyman was left once again on his own. Tupac was one of his greatest influences and friends, and his passing affected Candyman 187 very greatly, not only was he a teacher, he was an older brother and father figure all in one. It wasnt until his meeting with Yaasmyn Fula (mother of Kadafi) and Dr. Mutulu Shakur (Tupac's step father and Political Prisoner) that Candyman rekindled his passion for rapping and spreading the word that his brothers had so adamantly done. Although his mentors and brothers Tupac and Kadafi have passed, their memories and spirits live on through the youngest member of Tha Havenotz. Candyman has now been taken under the wing of the great Shock G, front-man of the multi-platinum group Digital Underground. Shock G has taken Candyman up as a part of the family and now is helping jump start his career just as they did for Tupac in the early 90's. You can catch Candyman 187 touring with his Digital Underground family (Shock G, Money B, 2Fly Eli, Nu Styles) throughout the nation. Candyman has also been in the studio with his 'sister', best friend, and road dog, Storm (from Tupac Shakur's Outlawz). Credited by many as the one of the greatest to step on the scene, the future looks bright for Candyman 187. His voice and passion is compared to that of his mentor Tupac Shakur. Listening to him takes you back to an edgy and reality based era of rap that has been missing since 1996. His words are a wake up call for all the hopeless, for all those in the struggle. Tupac's "shining star" is already burning, now his light is ready to be spread across the world. As Chuck D once stated "This (Candyman 187 and Tha Havenotz) is history in the making, and nobody wants to be part of the generation that missed another Van Gogh."
