Biography read about me, my style and what I'm all about.

BMZ began his career with his love for hip-hop and the local Dallas underground hip-hop scene back at a time when Dallas artists did not receive much support from the radio or record labels. This lack of exposure alongside his passions for being an artist inspired BMZ to strive to make a difference and he vowed to get Dallas the major exposure they so deserved. He began doing promotions for local artists and club/party promoters and because of his constant hustle, perseverance and always keeping his ear to the street, BMZ quickly became a very popular figure among the local hip hop and club scenes. A few years later, coupled with his long-time friend Trill Gatez who was fastly gaining popularity due to his hit-making production skills, they formed an independent record label, promotional and management company called POWER BROKER ENTERTAINMENT. This constant grind and keen business sense landed BMZ many connections throughout the local and regional hip hop and club scene and prompted him to form many solid relationships with artists, labels, as well as club, mix and radio DJs. In 2000, his knack for street and club promotion sparked the interest of his soon-to-be mentor, a Dallas rap pioneer named BIG AL from NEMESIS who had been working closely along side his friend Trill Gatez on production of Big Al's new solo album entitled "GHETTO STORIES". BMZ and BIG AL became very good friends and BMZ immediately began promotion of the new record. By doing so, he gained even more popularity and began doing promotions and management for many more local artists at that time. Then in 2001, with the release of the album "NEMESIS--Munchies For Your Bass: DA RETURN", alongside Trill Gatez and Young Mabooda, BMZ became the business manager and the head of marketing and promotions for Power Broker Entertainment and Out Tha Trunk records, helping to manage the careers of Trill Gatez, Big Al, Young Mabooda and several other artists, and began promoting the hit single "HOLD UP" which received over 2000+ BDS and MediaBase spins and the album went on to sell over 15,000 copies independently which drew much major label interest. Then in 2002, after the tragic passing of his long time friend and mentor Big Al, BMZ has worked along-side Trill Gatez and Young Mabooda to put out many projects and has featured on many mixtapes which are continuing to gain popularity all across the South. Young Mabooda and Power Broker Entertainment have piqued the interest of several major record labels.
