Marlon McGregor P.K.A Arizona Slim was born in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 6, his family uprooted from Jamaica and relocated to the North Bronx, NY. With a remarkable growth spurt at the age of 13, Slim was an amazing basketball star receiving various scholarships for summer leagues across the nation. Being from a Jamaican upbringing and growing up around cousins and uncles who were involved in the Reggae/Soul sound in the earlier years. Slim had a natural ear for music. On his spare time between basketball, Slim would camp out in his room tapping away at his beat machine experimenting with different sounds.

At the age of 18, Slim had a horrible basketball accident breaking his arm during a pick-up basketball game. In a full arm cast and unable to play basketball, Slim had to find something to occupy his time. So he decided to take a try at producing music fulltime. When he got his first cash payment from a local artist Slim also got the praise and encouragement of his uncles and cousin. Slim put down the basketball for good and focused all his time on the craft of producing music.

Word got around the neighborhood and to Darren "Dee" Dean, a Bronx native, that Slim was producing and making some very interesting beats. "Dee" at the time was making a lot of noise in the streets of NY with his own music and record label, Ruff Ryders. Through mutual friends Slim hooked up with Dee, and at the age of 19, Slim turned professional knocking out beats for the artist on the up and coming label. Even though the beats that Slim made for Ruff Ryders didn't earn him much acclaim Slim fine tuned his craft from the experience. With his fine tune craft Slim went on to work with prestigious producers the likes of Andre Betts, who has worked with Madonna, Micheal Jackson and other high profile artists. Slim has also been under the tutelage of Irv Gotti for an extensive time.

Now 23, Slim has moved from the hard streets on NY and now lives in the beautiful city of South Beach, Miami. Where he has built a studio and started his own production company and record label, Mighty Kong Productions and Mighty Kong Records. Mighty Kong describes the sound and energy that Arizona Slim is going to assert in the music industry. When you think of Mighty Kong, you think aggressive, passionate, enormous, and special.

He has credited work with the likes of Ashanti (Collectibles Album, 2004), Ja Rule (Exodus Album, 2004), Patra (Black Butterfly Album, 2003), and a various independent artist. Slim now has projects in the works with Ja Rule, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and the international rock band P.O.D. Slim also has a new hip-hop artist in the works, which be the first project coming from Mighty Kong. He goes by the name of, Hennessi. He comes from the city of Opa-Locka, Fl. Slim is very excited about Hennessi and knows he will be a major player within the hip-hop industry.

Still at a young age, Slim knows and understands that he has a long road ahead of him. With so much already accomplished, he realizes its only the tip of the iceberg. He is excited of what the future holds for him.
